Chapter Nine
Waking in the morning with Rokhan curled around her, holding her close and his morning erection prodding her back was the best thing to happen to Cinnthea in a long time. She rolled over to find him awake, watching her intently with his amber hued eyes. âWe probably donât have time before breakfast to repeat last night,â she said, blushing, much to her own disgust at suddenly being so maidenly. But everything with Rokhan was different than any relationship sheâd ever had before. It was all fresh and new and shiny and she was intent on keeping it that way. âThe pack eats the morning meal together and Iâm sure Vallair will send someone to find us if we donât appear on our own.â
He kissed her and agreeably sat up. âAm I invited to join you again tonight?â
âOf course.â She gave him a gentle shove on the shoulder, which made no impression on Rokhan at all. âDidnât we settle the issue last night? Unless you donât want to sleep in here with meâ ââ
âCinnthea, the only reason Iâm here is to find you. Having found you, my heart, Iâm not giving you up.â His voice was level and his expression was serious. âI will find or construct a better mattress today, however, so we can vary our um activities without injuring either your back or mine.â
âIâll take you up on the promise,â she said, heat pooling in her core as she glanced at his cock, rigid and ready. âI wish I thought there was time right now.â
He rose to his feet and extended his hand to pull her up next to him. âThe anticipation will make the next time sweeter, I promise. Now, where can a man wash up around here?â
âThe brothers use a pond off to the north of the complex,â she said. âItâs fed by a stream. I have a pitcher of water and a few cloths here though.â
âIâll go brave the cold waterâyou can have the other. Weâll meet at breakfast, yes?â He pulled on his utilities, arranging himself to hide the erection as much as possible and reached for his tee shirt.
Although she didnât want to spend a minute without him now he was here, she nodded. It would be better to do her ablutions in privacy. In the daytime shyness was overtaking her. Rokhan claimed another kiss and then moved the door, frowning at it as he did so.
âThis needs improvement as well,â he said. âItâs no effort on my part but Iâm sure the weight of the panel bothers you when you have to shove it aside.â
âIâll be fine. See you at breakfast.â She loved the way he wanted to take care of her down to the smallest details. Being with Rokhan would improve her life in so many ways, not the least of which was the afterglow from their lovemaking last night. Happy, she did her best to wash up before putting on a clean shirt and pants, fastening her boots and heading for the communal dining hall.
